We conserve and promote India’s traditionally and culturally rich and diverse but endangered garden and food crop heritage for future generations by collecting, growing, and sharing heirloom seeds, tubers, bulbs and plants.
We also support the livelihood of the traditional potters community by promoting their pots which can decorate your garden.
The core aim of Gardening India is to reach out, assist and support every single individual to become self-sustainable by starting their own garden even at a small scale.
As a customer, member or donor, you help us save India’s losing heritage – seeds and plants.
Who Are We?
Gardening India was started by passionate nature conservationists and enthusiastic gardeners who are striving hard to create awareness about the lost biodiversity of India and support the global biodiversity conservation efforts. We believe strongly that only when our biodiversity is accessible for all, it can be saved by promoting it largely amidst communities of similar minds.
What Do We Do?
Gardening India is an online platform curating native heirloom and open pollinated Non-GMO seed savers, permaculture garden enthusiasts and traditional potters to engage in programs and promotion of our rich biodiversity. It is a solid conservation effort to promote, distribute and exchange native plants, heirloom open pollinated Non-GMO seeds, bulbs, tubers and traditional handmade pots
Why Do We Do It?
To save what is remaining and forage what we already lost – to regain back our natural biodiversity rooting back to our traditions.
How you can be a part of it?
Gardening India is a nation-wide movement created to bring in conservation enthusiasts who can be a part of our programs in your capacity as an exchanger, distributor or volunteer.
